Is this website the official Tuta or Tutanota website?
No. This is an independent informational resource that is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Tuta (formerly Tutanota) or Tutao GmbH.
Is Tutanota the same thing as Tuta?
Yes — the service was originally called Tutanota and rebranded to the shorter name Tuta in 2023. It's the same company, team, and underlying technology, just under a new, shorter name.
Does Tuta work like a normal email inbox?
Generally, yes, in terms of everyday use — you send and receive messages, organize folders, and so on. The main difference is what happens behind the scenes: messages are typically encrypted, including (unlike many other encrypted email services) the subject line.
Does this site provide official Tuta account support?
No. This site provides general educational information only. For official support, billing, or to sign up, use Tuta's own website or app.
Have a general question?
Send an informational inquiry — this is not official Tuta support.
